Weekend workshops enable you to
really immerse yourself in the practice of Dragon and Tiger and deepen your embodied
understanding of the set.
They also enable those who live
too far away to attend weekly classes to study with me.
During a two day workshop we will cover
all seven movements of Dragon and Tiger so that you can
immediately start to practise at home.
Additional exercises
which support particular aspects of the movements will also be
included, according to the needs of the group.
Following my appearance at the
Woodbridge Mind/Body/Spirit event, I will be looking to run
workshops in the Woodbridge/Ipswich area. If you are interested
in these, please
email me. Cost
will depend on venue hire fees.
Workshops
have also been run in Wicken Village Hall which is within easy
reach (NB by car only) of Cambridge, Newmarket, Ely and Bury St
Edmunds (Multimap
link and Google
Street Map link). Please
email if
you are interested. Cost
of classes in Wicken: 60 per day (£55 if
paid 3 weeks in advance), includes tea/coffee/biscuits but not lunch).
Classes will start at 10am and
end at 4:30 on both days. Likely breaks will be approximately
11-11:30, 12:30-2 (lunch) and 3-3:30.
Participants of all ages and
abilities are welcomed. I endeavour to give every person
individual attention so that they get the maximum benefit from
the weekend. I also aim to create a friendly, relaxed
environment in which every person works at their own pace.
Ample parking is available
by the hall. There are various options for accommodation
locally, if you would like to come from some distance away.
Anyone who has already learnt
the seven movements during a class or previous workshop is welcome:
all levels are catered for. At each workshop a slightly different emphasis may be
taught and in addition individual corrections and suggestions
will be made, so you will always gain something extra from
attendance.
Future plans:
I am looking to run long weekend courses (3 or 4 days, to be
decided) in the summer months, with Chi Kung tuition for half
the day and the rest of your time free to do other things - for
example, walk on Wicken
Fen, explore Ely Cathedral, watch racehorses on the gallops
in Newmarket, or go punting (or shopping) in Cambridge. Bed and
breakfast accommodation is available in local
villages. Please
email if you are
interested.
When appropriate, I may offer
one day revision workshops for those who already know the
set and have established their own practice.
I am happy to offer
workshops to existing groups or in a commercial setting, for
example as part
of a wellness programme. I am currently developing plans to use
Dragon and Tiger as a framework within a workshop setting to
explore issues relevant to teamwork and communication, more
details to follow. |
