Photography

I am not a formally trained photographer, but I have taken many photos appearing in both printed and on-screen publications.

Well composed and balanced images can make a big difference to the appeal of a design; as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words. However, in spite of the ready availability of digital cameras, it can be surprisingly hard for smaller organisations to come up with quality images themselves.

If you want to put a 'tour' feature on your web site (or just want a good range of images to brighten it up), if you are struggling to get people to provide photos for on-line staff profiles, or if you have a special event which you would like covering, my services could provide a cost-effective solution.

I prefer to take a 'fly on the wall' type approach, mostly taking shots while people are going about their activities unrestricted - rather than assembling everybody into a 'composed' arrangement. Generally I feel this leads to more natural images - however inevitably sometimes more 'staged' shots are required.

All images are taken digitally and files can be provided on CD-ROM for your own use.

If I feel your circumstances would be better served by a dedicated photographic service I will of course say!

Some examples are shown below: click for enlarged versions and a small selection of other shots from the same project.
